I assisted my colleague Kim with a number of different tasks throughout the launch period.
Social media
I was tasked with creating a social media following ahead of the auction, in order to draw in more potential customers. I used Twitter's advertising platform as a way to schedule posts over the lunchtime period every day until the auction began, highlighting the range of properties available and linking back to the Auction House Scotland website.

Press releases
I created a large database of contacts at local and national newspapers, and industry magazines and websites that may have been interested in covering the auction.
Each press release was tailored to the publication it was being sent to, with properties relevant to each area featured in each.
Promotional videos
I also filmed eight short promotional videos with a range of interviewees on the day of the auction. These were then sent to Auction House Scotland who wanted to roll out the content slowly over a longer period of time. The first of these can be seen below:
